The Féchy production area includes more than 177 hectares of vineyards, some of which are listed as sites and landscapes of national importance. Chasselas accounts for almost 90% of production, with the remainder dedicated to other varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Doral, Viognier, Gamaret, Garanoir, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. The subsoil of Féchy’s hillsides consists mainly of Chattian sandstone formed over 25 million years ago. To mark their attachment to the vineyards, the citizens of Féchy replaced the coat-of-arms of their village with a bunch of golden grapes.
